Seen GroptimCheck in your logs?
That is the Groptim checker. Someone with an account asked us to see whether AI search can read a site, and that site was yours.
- It only visits a domain that a signed-in user has submitted for a check.
- It reads a handful of pages once per check, then leaves. It never returns on its own.
- It identifies itself by name on every visit.
- It never signs in, submits forms or reads anything a normal visitor could not.
What it looks at
The same public pages any visitor can open, so the report can say whether AI engines are let in, whether they can find your pages, and whether your homepage is readable to them. Nothing is stored beyond the report the user asked for.
Allow or block it by name
The checker always calls itself GroptimCheck. Wherever your site decides which automated visitors get in, that name is all you need: allow it and every check runs in full; block it and it stays out, and the report says so instead of guessing.
Questions or a visit you did not expect?
Write to support@groptim.com with your domain and the time you saw it, and a person will answer.
